DJ’s are someone who can actually change the way music is played and get the music nerves in us vibe with ecstasy. Though this profession was invented in the start of 19th century, people began to appreciate this genre of music in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Many artists like Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles changed the perception of DJ music.

Post 2000 saw an increasing number of rises in DJ’s whole over the world, creating their own music, apart from the improvisations they were doing in the existing music. The word ‘trance’ got famous and a new generation got evolved who enjoys this kinda music more than anything else.

Every DJ got their own style of presenting their music and that is what makes them different from others. One of the most famous DJ Sasha is considered to be the modern father of electronic dance music. Through his meticulous track selection and mixing techniques, he entertains the dance loving-music loving generation completely onto a different level. Being voted as one in top ten DJ’s of the world since 1997, he was even nominated for Grammy awards in the year 2005.

DJ Paul Oakenfold grew up listening to Beatles track and when he decided to get into this industry, he started mixing tracks from albums of Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and likes. He started creating remixes for movie titles like The Bourne Identity too. This increased his popularity. Having many DJ mixes released he had even released his own studio albums, Pop Killer to be the latest.

DJ Tiesto is a much successful artist who got the credit of pulling crowd which runs into several lakhs. The remix of Delerium was something which brought him to the forefront in 2000 and in a year he was ready with his solo album. In 2004, at the Summer Olympics, his performance gathered a crowd more than any other performer till that date. His music was featured in the FIFA 2004 World cup too. So much is his popularity that there is a wax model installed at Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam. The tour he kicks started in the year 2007 never was less than over crowded, be it in Brazil or in India.

Such popularity these artists enjoy among the young crowd, they bring new techniques and variations to the music only to make the listeners go mad with ecstasy. They do hold huge fan base, in any corner of the modern world. This trend never stops, because people like Sasha, Oakenfold and Tiesto are really passionate in what they are doing.

And that’s why people do take extreme efforts to attend their concerts.
